Mob Violence



 1.Mob violence is a disturbance of peace to commit unlawful acts. It comprise of a group of unorganized, emotional people that has past their trigger point and lashed out and. Examples are racial mob, religious riots. It exist because they usually have a message they want to convey. To let the government know that the people of its government have issues that is not being heard or nothing is being done and a change must be made.

2. This riot was the most famous of riots in Arkansas because it held many values and signifies many important marks of that era, it was called the “Elaine Massacre” “ Elaine Race Massacre” or “Elaine Race Riot of 1919”. It was the first time federal court got involved against a racial biased southern court and as well as reversed the decision made by them by later released black folks that were held prisoners. The riot caused the lives of two hundred African American, and many others were later forcibly arrested. What caused all this was the fact that many of the African American felt they were being underpaid by their white landowners and the price of cotton that they made were undervalued. So they set up a union and during the union white officials came and reportedly fired at the crowd, though many don’t really know who fired first, the union fired back and killed two of the officials. After this the whites were hell-bent in destroying and burning blacks homes and businesses. Since this happen a while ago media coverage is hard to find but one story that ran in the NY Times stated it was all planned by the black community to massacre whites that day.

3. 
-Music video “No Church In The Wild” by Jay Z and Kanye West featured riots, it involve rioters against the police. It’s a mass of police trying to control a whole bunch of people that have cause chaos, wreckage, and destroyed the city.
-A riot broke over a brand new Nike shoe that was release that day. The crowd was told to stay back when one person ran toward the store and the rest follows. This happened in the Orlando Florida Mall of last year.
